EMS Success welcomes new board member!

EMS Success, Inc. recently received applications for our open board member position.  We are excited to announce that the board has chosen Charlie Swearingen to fill this role!

Charlie brings over 17 years of EMS experience with a very diverse background.  Charlie began his career in Jackson, Mississippi where he worked as a ground paramedic for both private and fire-based EMS.  Just a few years after becoming a paramedic, Charlie began a career in flight medicine where he worked as a flight paramedic for AirCare, a helicopter EMS service based out of the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Charlie eventually moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he was selected as a member of the USA Men’s sitting volleyball Paralympic team.  While in Oklahoma, Charlie worked as a Professor of EMS for Oklahoma City Community College and as an EMS adjunct professor for Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City.  During this time, Charlie also worked as a flight paramedic for Oklahoma’s MediFlight and a ground paramedic for EMSStat EMS in Norman, OK.

In 2014, Charlie moved to Denver, Colorado to take the role of Clinical Education Manager for Air Methods Corporation.  He still works there today where he provides clinical education for the world’s largest air medical provider.  Charlie also owns and operates Meducation Specialists, a critical care EMS education company that provides training to paramedics from all over the globe.

Charlie is happily married and they have recently welcomed a new puppy into their lives!

We welcome Charlie’s diverse background and look forward to the experience, professionalism, and philanthropic activities that he will bring to EMS Success.
