2015 Air Methods Paramedic Scholarship!

For 2015, five $1,000 scholarships were available funded in part by Air Methods, MediFlight, and Tulsa Life Flight! Please support those who support EMS Success!
Many applications were received from all across the country. Those who applied were independently scored by a 3-person panel based on the following criteria:

  • Community need
  • Financial need
  • Dedication to their community
  • Dedication to the EMS profession
  • Ability to set an example for professionalism in EMS

Commitment to work for at least 1,000 in a rural EMS agency for a period of at least 1 year. (Oklahoma only)


Congratulations to the following recipients!

Christopher Winn: Congratulations to scholarship recipient, Christopher Winn. Christopher has won a $1,000 scholarship! Christopher lives in Enid, OK, is currently in paramedic school at Kiamichi Tech Center, and works as an EMT at Life EMS in Enid, OK. Once Christopher receives his paramedic license he has agreed to work for 1,000 hours in a rural part of Oklahoma for at least one year.

Lana Braddy: Congratulations to scholarship recipient, Lana Braddy. Lana has won a $1,000 scholarship! Lana lives in Rattan, OK, is currently in paramedic school at Kiamichi Tech Center and works as an EMT at Antlers Fire/EMS. Once Lana receives her paramedic license she has agreed to work for 1,000 hours in a rural part of Oklahoma for at least one year. 

Joshua Ou: Congratulations to scholarship recipient, Joshua Ou. Joshua has won a $1,000 scholarship! Joshua lives in Oklahoma City, OK, is currently in paramedic school a Oklahoma City Community College, and works as an EMT at Norman Regional's EMSStat in Norman, OK. Once Joshua receives his paramedic license he has agreed to work for 1,000 hours in a rural part of Oklahoma for at least one year.

Jamie Elson: Congratulations to scholarship recipient, Jamie Elson. Jamie has won a $1,000 scholarship! Jamie lives in Nash, OK, is currently in paramedic school at Kiamichi Tech Center and works as an EMT at Life EMS. Once Jamie receives her paramedic license she has agreed to work for 1,000 hours in a rural part of Oklahoma for at least one year

Shawn Cearnal: Congratulations to scholarship recipient, Shawn Cearnal. Shawn has won a $1,000 scholarship! Shawn lives in Baxter Springs, KS, is currently in paramedic school at Crowder College, and works as an EMT at Quapaw Tribe Fire/EMS. Once Shawn receives his paramedic license he has agreed to work for 1,000 hours in a rural part of Oklahoma for at least one year.
