Scholarship Applications

The application process for Spring 2024 is now CLOSED!!!

Applications will be reviewed during the month of April. Results will be posted on this website as well as our Facebook page!

New for 2024!! EMS Success is happy to announce that we have received funding for 20-30 EMS scholarships specifically for paramedic students within the state of Oklahoma. Please see below to download the application. This scholarship aims to help those who are currently in paramedic school and have shown exceptional levels of professionalism, academics, and community service while in paramedic school.

Each scholarship will be worth anywhere from $2,500 to $3,500!!

One of the goals of this project is to increase the number of qualified paramedics working in rural Oklahoma. Each recipient of this scholarship will be required to sign a binding contract that requires them to work as a paramedic for at least 1,000 hours a year for 2 years in an approved rural or under-served community in Oklahoma. Previous scholarship winners are not eligible for this scholarship.

You must be considered a current paramedic student at the time the application is submitted.

 

Application Process

***Please follow these steps exactly as they are laid out.  If your application packet is missing a document or is not legible or completed properly then you will risk having your application discarded***

 

Step 1: Click on the eligibility requirements link below and read very thoroughly. This is where you will find the selection criteria.

Step 2: Fill out and sign the application. The link is below this section. The application must be filled out by the applicant and all fields must be completed. 

Step 3: You must submit a letter of interest with your application. This letter must tell the selection board in 1,000 words or less, why you feel you deserve the scholarship and what it is that you will bring to the EMS community.

Step 4: You must include 2 professional letters of reference. One of these letters must come from the Program Director of your paramedic school. 

Step 5: You must include a copy of your current driver's license AND a copy of your current Oklahoma EMT license and NREMT EMT certification. 

Step 6: Include a copy of your resume. 

Step 7: Do not staple any of your forms together. Do not print on both sides of paper.

Step 8: Send your completed packet UN-folded and in a full size letter envelope.

Step 9: Do not request a signature for delivery. We highly recommend you ship your application packet via USPS Priority Mail (without signature confirmation) so you can track the delivery of your package. 

The quality of your application itself is important.  If any of the above steps are not followed or if any items are missing you will risk having your application discarded.
