IRS 990 Forms and Determination Letter
What is a 990 form?
Non-profits are required to make certain tax documents available for public inspection. The three most recent information returns (Form 990 or 990-EZ) and its application for exempt status (Form 1023) must be made available for inspection upon request.
Form 990-T reporting unrelated business income is open for public inspection only for non-profits that organized under Code Section 501(c)(3).
Here at EMS Success we will make our 990 form available to anyone who wants it. We are 100% not-for-profit. Not one penny of donated funds go towards payroll or salary of any kind. Our only incentive is to further our mission of providing support to EMTs and Paramedics.
What is a determination letter?
The IRS determination letter notifies a nonprofit organization that its application for federal tax exemption under Section 501(c)(3) has been approved.
